After 16-years as a children’s writer and editor, I began writing as a mindfulness practice. What a discovery! I had no idea that writing solely for myself (versus to publish) would be so nourishing. Or that writing in a community (which terrified me at first) would be so freeing.
In 2013, I created Write to Glow to help others connect to their lives through writing. If you’re looking to begin or deepen a solo or communal writing practice, you’re in the right place.

Like yoga and meditation, free-flow writing is a goalless practice that cultivates mindfulness, self-acceptance, and spaciousness. You write briskly to a prompt, ignore spelling and grammar, and notice what arises. Noticing without judgment creates more peace, clarity, and a softer, sweeter friendship with yourself.
No writing experience needed.
