WRITING TOGETHER AS A WELLNESS PRACTICE
OUR HEAD IS A NOISY PLACE!
It's hard to hear our own guidance, wake up our senses, and feel the aliveness of the moment.
GRAB A PEN AND WRITE TO GLOW WITH...
being yourself, as you are -- in the moment, as it is. That's the practice!
After 16-years as a children’s writer and editor with Scholastic, I began writing as a mindfulness practice. What a discovery! I had no idea that writing solely for myself (versus to publish) would be so grounding. Or that writing in a community (terrifying at first) would be so freeing, fun, and addictive!
In 2013, I created Write to Glow to help others connect to themselves, the moment, and others through writing. If you’re looking to begin or deepen a communal writing practice, you’re in the right place.
I’m glad you’re here!
Like yoga and meditation, free-flow writing is a goalless practice that cultivates mindfulness, self-acceptance, and spaciousness. You write briskly to a prompt, ignore spelling and grammar, and notice what arises. Noticing without judgment creates more peace, clarity, and a softer, sweeter friendship with yourself.
No writing experience needed.
WTG Circles remind us that we’re all different, but so much the same. Writing together helps you see yourself in others and experience a rich connection that science shows is vital for well-being. In each themed circle you’ll:
Share,(voluntarily) and allow yourself to be seen as your uniquely beautiful and messy self. Watch your courage ripple to all aspects of your life.
Listen, without comment, which creates a safe circle and helps you practice deep listening -- one of the greatest gifts you can give others.
